Say it with Stripes !

A perennial print trend, stripes are big news again for spring/summer 2015. From skirts to shirts, trousers and blouses, stripe is one of the biggest trends of the season and are coming from all directions at different widths and in refreshingly vibrant hues. Take a closer look at fashion bloggers and you will see stripes at the forefront of current street look trends.

Have some fun with colour and take standard stripes to a playful level. Whether subtle or bold, high contrast or red, it’s all about going linear. For spring, there’s only one rule of thumb — more is more. So, mix, match and pile it on because this season you can’t go wrong !

Skirts Of The Season

and how to wear them…

Blink and you could miss the odd bare leg brave enough to display itself fresh from hibernation.  Spring 2015 welcomes a variety of different skirt styles that on warmer days can be styled with boxy jumpers and sneakers and on cooler days layered with tights, loose knits, jackets and ankle boots.   The styles on offer this season at Quattro Rish are beautiful, flattering and colourful: –

The Ladylike skirt:

The graphic print gets a ladylike makeover in check form from Baum und Pferdgarten.  Team with sneakers, slip on shoes or even wellies and a sweatshirt.

Best styled with loose knits, relaxed T-shirts or silky shirts.  Avoid anything too revealing on top; it’s all about balance.

Spring Awakening

With the days now getting noticeably longer, we can’t help but start to dream about our spring wardrobes.  Well, to be honest we have been fawning over our new arrivals at Quattro Rish headquarters for a couple of weeks now!

One item this spring that is perfect for the transition from winter to spring is the spring jacket.  Currently being blogged about everywhere as a favourite spring trend on the streets of Europe, this season’s spring jacket can be dressed up (worn smart) or equally thrown over jeans and teamed with sneakers, slip-on pumps or ankle boots.  A wardrobe staple, the spring jacket will transform your wardrobe with minimal effort, just thrown on and the let the jacket do the talking.

Smart Tips for Instant Outfits this Winter…

1.  Invest in a statement coat; our new favourite at Quattro Rish is the black long line Tina coat from Twist & Tango.  This is an absolute staple for the winter wardrobe.

2.  Make sure you have a pair of sneakers and ankle boots that can be paired with your favourite jeans, trousers, dresses and skirts; the Sol Sana Luca boot is feminine and on-trend for this season.

3.  Layering plays a large part in our winter wardrobe.  We adore the cat t.shirt by Des Petits Hauts teamed with the chunky knit cardigan from American Vintage.  Style with colour this season and add some winter chic with the sapphire long sleeved top from American Vintage and Becksondergaard wool scarf draped loosely around the shoulders // scarves are big this season.

4.  We take our inspiration from the streets and are obsessed with the way denim is worn by the many style bloggers across Europe.  Boyfriend jeans are everywhere again this season so wear rolled with ankle boots and unrolled with sneakers, don’t worry though as the skinny jean is still a firm favourite!  We adore the cut and finish of the Regina jean from Dr Denim // just add your statement coat for some street style envy.

5.  It’s a good idea to add variety when it comes to knitwear; a chunky cardigan, statement sweater and  oversized knit with colour will cover our favourite knitwear trends.  We adore SET’s statement sweater (shown in the feature photo) – just the right amount of attitude…

6.  And finally glamour, everyone needs a pinch of glamour and this season we are going noir.  The black jumpsuit from American Vintage is elegant and flattering and can be carried from day to evening simply with a change of footwear.  The zip skirt from SET can be worn during the day with sneakers and a statement sweater or with a turtleneck and ankle boots // casual styling made easy!

The boyfriend coat this season balances the masculine and feminine with clean lines and beautiful colours.  A perfect example is the Liese coat from Custommade.
