Does My Bum Look 40 in Reigate…

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]And how amazing are the clothes?  Since I first visited a couple of weeks ago, I have done nothing but wax lyrical to my local friends about this amazing boutique.  Alas, we have nothing similar in Sevenoaks (we so so should!) although maybe I should be grateful as I would be in there every week “just seeing what’s in there”.

Because there really is something for any occasion.  At the moment especially when the weather is just – well, not cricket, is it?  It’s not exactly Spring…it’s cold…it’s really really quite chilly.

Therefore full on Summer gear just isn’t the ticket yet.  We need those pieces in our wardrobe that we can add in to make them just that little bit more interesting.  As we’re all pretty much O.V.E.R our Winter clothes that we’ve been wearing since what seems like forever.  And retrieve your Spring clothes from last year (when it was considerably warmer I’d like to point out) and they never seem quite as appealing as they were.

It’s the ideal time therefore to treat yourself to something new.  Something that can make all the difference to your wardrobe.  Or even a whole outfit that you can mix and match with things you already have, that is perfect for this not so mild weather but will still work when the sun comes out.

I managed to find so many outfits from the new stock at Quattro Rish (in fact, had to restrain myself otherwise we would have been there all week).  Starting with all black…

[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3612″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3609″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][text_output]This is the most amazing Essentiel Antwerp Linkylince top.  Would work as well for holiday, as for work, as for a night out.  Beautiful loose shape with exquisite detailing down the sides.  And teamed with the most flattering high waisted skinnies I have every tried on – the MiH Body Con skinnies.  No these aren’t cheap but cost per wear, these will owe you nothing in a very short space of time.  The most fabulous bum hugging, leg lengthening, muffing hiding trousers of wonder.   And what’s not to love about a throw on cardigan – the American Vintage Vacville cardi.  Perfect for travelling, for layering in the Winter or for keeping your shoulders warm on those cool Summer evenings.  For me – my lazy side is most keen to have it wrapped round me on the sofa.

[/text_output][text_output]

Essentiel Linkylince Sleeveless Top, £119 | MiH Body on 5 Pocket, £199 | American Vintage Vacaville Cardigan, £125 | Sol Sana Tobi Heel, £140

[/text_output][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3622″][text_output]

Must mention the shoes which are the perfect heel height for both every day wearing and dancing into the small hours.  Super comfortable and if you’re not that much in love with your feet (if you looked at mine you would think I was one gene away from Hobbit), the fringing on these does wonders to hide what you don’t really want to be looking at.  And bang on trend too.  Perfection in sandals all round – the Sol Sana Tobi heel.

[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3611″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3614″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][text_output]

Next, it would have been rude not to try the navy jumpsuit – American Vintage Derinaroad jumpsuit.  Which happens to be the one colour jumpsuit I don’t in fact own… This is ideal for both now and into Summer evenings.  Layer with a thin knit polo neck underneath to take you into Autumn.  Looks great with either a biker jacket or blazer thrown over for play or even work.

[/text_output][image src=”3624″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3619″][text_output]If your feet aren’t sandal ready (mine really need some industrial sander action before I get them out properly notwithstanding the general Hobbit issue), then get more wear out of your Winter boots.  Or treat yourself to new ones… these Ivylee Dee Boots with gold studs are absolutely sublime.

American Vintage Derinaroad Jumpsuit, £110 | IvyLee Dee Boots – Gold Studs, £190[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3616″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][text_output]Moving onto the pair of trousers which I simply couldn’t resist.  It’s not often you try on a pair of trews that are perfect for so many different occasions.  The colour, the cut, the fit, the detailing.  I completely fell in love with (and bought!) the Current/Elliott Industrial Trouser.

[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][text_output]

These are the one pair of trousers that will see you through all Spring/Summer and well into the Autumn as well.  They are the perfect modern twist on a classic cargo.  Can be rolled up for a more traditional look or worn long, with the slight, very current, mini kick flare to them.  With flats, with sneakers, with ankle boots, with sandals of the heeled, flat or wedge variety – they really are the pants of the season.

[/text_output][text_output]

[/text_output][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3610″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]

For a more casual look, the most perfect tee to add to your wardrobe to work as a layer or as a top in its own right, is the American Vintage Sonoma Top. – a great linen style classic white long sleeved tee.  Every wardrobe should have one (in white, in navy, in black, in every colour actually).  And for dress down chic, there can be nothing more luxurious than a chunky knit in a fresh Spring shade – Essential Lunny Long Sleeve Sweater.  Made all the more special if you look closely and see the gold thread detail running through.

[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3617″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3613″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image src=”3621″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][text_output]

The perfect sliders finish off the outfit but I would also absolutely wear this outfit with the Ivylee Dee Boots (I may have to make a phone call to order these seeing as I’m not sure how I’m going to live without them.. they look amazing with these trousers).  These sandals though, into the Summer will be your go to staple.  Buy them now before they sell out.  They’re ideal in that they’re not flat flat, they’re not super smart but they’re not super casual.  They really would go with every outfit.  The official Goldilocks of sandals.  And most importantly, boy are they comfy – Ivylee Iris Slider.

Hopefully there are some ideas there for how to dress in this tricky transitional phase (aka the British Spring.. and Summer for that matter) until we can legitimately crack out the dresses and sandals without fear of getting frost bite.  My advice would be to invest in a couple of key pieces, as above, to make you fall back in love with some of your old favourites that may have lost their shine.  Or just go the whole hog and buy an outfit that you can reinvent in many different ways.  Personally I’m with the latter suggestion.  If the sun isn’t shining, this is guaranteed to brighten your days instead!

A Very British Blogger…

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]It has been a really busy couple of weeks at Quattro Rish, with the festive period our favourite time of year, we have been styling outfits and helping choose those special Christmas gifts.  So for this week’s style post we have left behind the festive, party vibe to share with you the very British street style of homegrown blogger, Emma Bates.

Emma popped into her favourite boutique shop (yep, that’s Quattro Rish) last week for some winter wardrobe pieces and shared her experience and purchases with her 62.1k Instagram followers.

It’s the type of shop you walk into and would be almost unable to walk out of without emotionally attaching yourself to all manner of items, that you will also convince yourself are definitely a necessity in your wardrobe. You will also not receive better or more attentive service anywhere else and I can guarantee you’ll come out wishing you were as fashionable as Ivy (one of the owners).”

Emma tried on and fell in love with MiH’s Bodycon jeans, Delmar alpaca sweater and Seven Boot Lane Emilia Biker boots in charcoal suede…[/text_output][image src=”3564″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image src=”3565″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image src=”3566″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image src=”3567″][text_output]

Smart Tips for Instant Outfits this Winter…

[vc_row no_margin=”true” padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px” border=”none”][vc_column width=”1/1″][x_video_embed type=”16:9″][/x_video_embed][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]The autumn/winter season can be a tricky one for our wardrobe unless prepared – whilst autumn only began a few weeks ago there is already the risk of falling into a style rut and wearing the same style outfit day in day out.  Instead we want you to make the most out of your wardrobe and embrace the season with all its prints, colour, textures and shapes by following these smart style tips :-

1.  Invest in a statement coat; our new favourite at Quattro Rish is the black long line Tina coat from Twist & Tango.  This is an absolute staple for the winter wardrobe.

2.  Make sure you have a pair of sneakers and ankle boots that can be paired with your favourite jeans, trousers, dresses and skirts; the Sol Sana Luca boot is feminine and on-trend for this season.

3.  Layering plays a large part in our winter wardrobe.  We adore the cat t.shirt by Des Petits Hauts teamed with the chunky knit cardigan from American Vintage.  Style with colour this season and add some winter chic with the sapphire long sleeved top from American Vintage and Becksondergaard wool scarf draped loosely around the shoulders // scarves are big this season.

4.  We take our inspiration from the streets and are obsessed with the way denim is worn by the many style bloggers across Europe.  Boyfriend jeans are everywhere again this season so wear rolled with ankle boots and unrolled with sneakers, don’t worry though as the skinny jean is still a firm favourite!  We adore the cut and finish of the Regina jean from Dr Denim // just add your statement coat for some street style envy.

5.  It’s a good idea to add variety when it comes to knitwear; a chunky cardigan, statement sweater and  oversized knit with colour will cover our favourite knitwear trends.  We adore SET’s statement sweater (shown in the feature photo) – just the right amount of attitude…

6.  And finally glamour, everyone needs a pinch of glamour and this season we are going noir.  The black jumpsuit from American Vintage is elegant and flattering and can be carried from day to evening simply with a change of footwear.  The zip skirt from SET can be worn during the day with sneakers and a statement sweater or with a turtleneck and ankle boots // casual styling made easy!
