A Shoe with a Nordic Edge…

We are told that Danes are the happiest people on the planet and that the reason for this happiness is hyyge. For those of you who are not familiar (where have you been) this Norwegian word, pronounced (“heu-gah”), refers to moments of comfort, warmth or happiness. Hygge is about indulgence, not extravagance – embracing the simple things in life.

This Danish meaning can easily be translated from interior to wardrobe – which is why we fell in love with new Scandinavian shoe label, IvyLee Copenhagen. IvyLee Copengahen combines high quality materials, clean lines, natural colours and understated details – all perfectly Danish!

In particular the amazing pointy gold boots which we had could have sold over and over again (and did until we ran eventually out)! Customers still keep asking us about them.

IvyLee shoes are beautifully crafted and feminine but with a cool edge. We love the shapes, studs, prints and choice of colours. Most importantly they are shoes which are comfortable and wearable – this is where the excellent quality comes into play.

This AW16 collection arrived a couple of weeks ago and is proving to be another great success with the amazing Pam boots selling out in one week. The split at the front makes the leg longer, the heel is wooden and just perfect height . They are a real investment boot which can be worn with anything really.

FRENCH prettiness. We have to mention the amazing collection from our French label Des Petit Hauts – where quality and detail are second to none. Think beautiful quality knitwear with soft pinks, blue and luxurious grey. There are also lots of metallic, cat and fruit prints and wool coats.

JEANS and pants. This season everything is in from traditional skinnies (we have a great choice of Current Elliott with an amazing fit for all) to boyfriend jeans (look for Nina boy fit From Reiko with more of a straight leg). We adore our velvet cropped pants from MiH and Grey flannel pants from SET for that very on-trend fashion look. Also green cropped straight leg cords by Current Elliott are proving to be very popular as well as an amazing black cropped kick flares by MiH. We do love a relaxed pair of joggers at Quattro Rish and this season we have been spoilt by super Danish brand Lollys Laundry.
