Guilt-free Fashion

You would be forgiven for not having already heard of über cool French brand Veja. Already in it’s 13th year, Veja has been quietly taking the sneaker market by storm with its environmentally and ethically conscious shoes.

Founded by friends François-Ghislain Morillion and Sébastien Kopp, the vision for Veja was always to make beautiful things that respected the environment, and the people making them. They don’t use sweatshops, they don’t use expensive advertising and they use only ethically sourced materials – all the raw materials are grown and farmed in Brazil, including the rubber, which comes from the Amazon forest. The shoes are also made in Brazil in a factory that fiercely respects and protects the rights of workers.

Founded in Amsterdam in the late summer days of 2013 Colourful Rebel started out as a lifestyle magazine which has evolved into a fun fashion brand for both men and women. Run by twin brothers who clearly love their city, Colourful Rebel has a flagship store in Amsterdam’s city centre and is represented by over 150 stores in both the Netherlands and Belgium. It’s Our 10th Birthday!!

Starting your own business is a bit like having your first baby – it was not easy at times, sometimes there were tears and like most parents there are certain things we wish we had done differently. We took each year as it came, learning as we went and without anyone telling us what to do or what to avoid, we somehow got it right.

It has been an amazing journey – we have met incredible people and made some beautiful friendships. We work with some fantastic brands, we have a passionate team and we couldn’t ask for lovelier customers.

We love what we do. Quattro Rish is a passion for both Roberto and I and we are always searching for beautifully made clothing and accessories. This year has been super exciting for Quattro Rish – as we speak we are completing the online integration of our store and website. We have been incredibly busy in the shop, Instagram has opened new doors and we now sell to many lovely customers all over the world. PLUS we have been nominated for the Best Store in Surrey by Muddy Stilettos and Best International Blog.

As well as investing in our new online store, we have also decided to give the shop a makeover. New interiors. New bags. New image. Most importantly, we would love to say thank you to you, our amazing customers, for all those years of support – without you we wouldn’t be here!

An Upcoming Danish Gem…

The brain child of Kamilla Byriel, a renowned Danish designer, Kamilla set out to create a a collection which mixes her personal love of strong basic materials expressed in a raw simplicity – think beautiful prints, ruffles, embroidery, leather with a Nordic twist and you get an understated luxury with budget friendly prices.

Our adventure with this cool Danish label started in summer 2010 when we were in Copenhagen for fashion week and spotted a stand full of vibrant prints, fun designs (a little á la Isabel Marant) and a blond charismatic woman passionately talking to a group of buyers. We were consumed by the energy and passion coming from that stand!

The blond woman was of course Kamilla. She was amazing and we fell in love with the whole package – clothes, vision, passion and Kamilla herself. Here we are six years later still stocking this lovely brand.
